Your new Program of Study
Journey Begins Here

What is a program of study?

Programs of study provide a structured approach for delivering academic and technical education through an aligned sequence of courses that increase in skill and specificity at the secondary and post-secondary level. Students who complete a CTE program of study should attain a secondary school diploma or its equivalent and an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or license which holds value at the professional level, post-secondary level, or in an associate or baccalaureate degree program. Students also participate in work-based learning experiences and dual credit/enrollment. The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), calls for states to offer CTE programs of study which may be developed or adopted by LEAs and/or post-secondary institutions, as an option for students to plan and complete future coursework.
